My training included classes and workshops in all types of glasswork including glassblowing, fusing, flameworking, sandblasting, etching, hot glass sculpture, mosaics and stained glass at the Corning Museum of Glass, the Museum of Fine Arts glass partner school Diablo Glass, Whittemore-Durgin Glass and Snow Farm, The New England Craft Program.
My stained glass commissions are now in private collections across the United States and over the years my glass was offered in galleries, shops, art associations and art museums on the East Coast from Cape Cod to the Carolinas.
I have several years of experience teaching both private and group classes in the traditional Tiffany copper foil method, Tiffany Lace open construction method, 3D stained glass and stained glass sculpture. These classes ranged from beginner to advanced and had been taught in my private studio but also at the Fuller Craft Museum, Atelier Off Bay, Coastal Art Supply, Art League Academy of Hilton Head, Society of Bluffton Artists and The Kennedy Center’s Partners in Education Program at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina.
I participated in many juried art exhibitions and artisan demonstrations, some of which include the Cape Cod Art Association, Wellfleet Emerging Artists, Sandwich Arts Alliance, Sandwich Town Hall, Sandwich Community Television, Beaufort Art Association, Beaufort County Adm. Center, Port Royal Sound Maritime Museum, Art League of Hilton Head, Bluffton Arts and Seafood Festival and several other local festivals and also selected for a special curated art exhibition of women artists at the University of South Carolina‘s Center for the Arts.
